Some interesting facts about scooters VESPA

 

a) This is first globally recognizable scooter in the whole world
b) Since the inventors of Vespa before creating scooters produced airplanes than „Vespa has a lot from this field - aerodynamics, wheel construction that is created as the part of an undercarriage for airplanes, as well as in one side a changing wheel that makes the process of its change easier – these invented parts where first used in history for two-wheel transportation.”
c) Translation of the word „vespa” from Italian means „a wasp”, because for its first inventor the scooter reminded of a wasp due to its interesting sound and its steer reminded of a wasp’s horns but the place where to put feet – the thin waist of wasp. (See video)


d) Probably the most famous Vespa scooter in the world is the model of 1962, designed by the famous Spanish artist Salvador Dali:

e) Vespa was also widely used in the WW2 times for Italian and French army as a very good military transport that was used for destruction of tanks:

f) Vespa design is created for one or two drivers (man or woman) and in order for clothes to stay clean it has a front shield and closed engine part, as well as one axle wheel for a driver to easily change it.
g) Vespa has also its own biggest scooter in the world......

g) The man that invented Vespa scooter also invented the first working helicopter in 1930 and it could do both - to take off and to land.
h) It is worth visiting the Vespa museum located in Pontedera city in Italy (nearby Pisa) - see video:
